Face Mask or Face Paint

Face Mask or Face Paint

When it comes to the question of face mask or face paint, there are many pro and cons to both. Weather it is a face mask you are looking for or face paint there are many different kinds, shapes, materials, and colors to choose from.

Hunting Face Masks

Hunting face masks can be nice because they can be taken on and off easily while out hunting. They are available in many different sizes with unique hole patterns for eyes and nose to meet your ideal comfort level. Face masks can be made from warm material if you are hunting in cold weather or screen material to allow you to stay cool and keep the bugs off your face.

One thing to keep in mind when choosing and using a facemask while bowhunting is how difficult it is to find my same anchor point. It is good practice to shoot your bow with it on before you head out hunting to make sure it’s comfortable and that you don’t have to resight your bow in.

Hunting Face Paint

When it comes to face paint, there are no right or wrong color patterns that you can go with. You want to use a dark color like black on the higher parts of your face such as the chin, cheekbones, forehead, and ears. Once you’ve covered those areas you can fill in the rest with green, and brown with whatever pattern you choose. Keep in mind you will want to make sure you are not allergic to the materials the paint is made out of. We always recommend putting a small amount of scentless oil on your face first making it easier to remove the facepaint when you are done hunting.

No matter what your preference is facemask or face paint, it is a individual choice on what you choose to use.
