What is your favorite brand and pattern for your camo? Everyone wants to wear the latest and most technologically advanced camo when out in the deer stand. Sitka has long been known as the best there is when it comes to hunting clothes. From the high tech materials, to the details in patterns, Sitka knows what a bowhunter wants. One question bowhunters often ask is about the camo patterns. We thought we'd do a quick run down the three Sitka camo patterns we carry at Archery Country which are Elevated II and Subalpine.
Sitka Elevated II
Sitka Elevated II is designed for whitetail deer hunters hunting from an elevated position. Bowhunters who hunt out of stands, or platforms in the trees, will find Sitka Elevated II to be the perfect choice. Elevated II has a macro and micro pattern that mimic the contrast of a bright sky vs the shaded underside of foliage that allows hunters to get as long of a bowhunting season as possible while the leaves start to change. Elevated II is designed for hunting ranges of 80 yards or less and will help to keep you hidden in a deer stand up to 15 feet high.
Sitka Subalpine was released in 2017 and is made specifically for stalking and ambushing deer and other ungulates from ground level in tree-covered and vegetated areas. Subalpine uses a digitally rendered blend of micro and macro patterns to trick animal vision allowing you to blend in to your surroundings. Subalpine works best for engagement ranges of less than 50 yards.
