Wisconsin Turkey Season and Regulations 2022

In the state of Wisconsin, after the preference drawing is complete, all remaining turkey bonus harvest authorizations, will be sold over-the-counter. Bonus harvest authorizations will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Each zone will have a designated sales date. The first zone will go on sale March 21. Hunters may buy leftover harvest authorizations on a one-per-day basis until they are sold out, or the season is over. In the state of Wisconsin, all turkey hunters must possess a valid spring turkey license and wild turkey stamp when they acquire their spring turkey harvest authorization. A 2022 spring turkey license is $15 for Wisconsin residents and $60 for non-residents. The 2022 wild turkey stamp is $5.25. To buy a license in the state of Wisconsin,  click here.

Youth Hunt – April 16 - 17

Period A – April 20 - 26

Period B – April 27 - May 3

Period C – May 4 - 10

Period D – May 11 - 17

Period E – May 18 - 24

Period F – May 25 - 31

Turkey Hunting in Wisconsin State Parks 

Spring turkey hunting in state parks is allowed during the 2-day Youth Turkey Hunt and the first two time periods of the regular season.

Hunting at Fort McCoy 

Fort McCoy conducts its own spring turkey hunt, independent of the state season. Call 608-388-3337 for a hunting application.
